• Karen Pickering SWIM will follow the pool’s Written Operating Procedures and abide by the conditions of hire for that particular pool.

• All teachers will be STA or ASA qualified, where necessary hold a lifesaving qualification, hold a current CRB certificate and be working towards their license.

• All teachers will be trained in child protection procedures, pool procedures and any other Health & Safety needed.

• Karen Pickering SWIM will be adhering to ASA guidelines for the ratio of swimmers to teachers.

• A first aid kit will be provided at every pool and all accidents will be reported to the relevant person at that pool.

• The ASA child protection policy will be used for all teachers working for Karen Pickering SWIM.

• Pool rules will be followed and equipment used will have a British kite mark.

• Karen Pickering SWIM will notify the relevant person of any water clarity problems but will not be responsible for the testing of the water.

• Parents/guardians will follow the pool’s policies on footwear around poolside and food and drink (other than in plastic bottles) will not be permitted on poolside.

• Karen Pickering SWIM will adhere to all other Health & Safety requirements laid out by the pool provider.

• Karen Pickering SWIM will have Public Liability Insurance.
